We leave no stone unturned when it comes to guiding trainee instructors to their certification.

We offer study materials for your theory test when you sign up to our driving school in Bolton. It is up to you to study in your own time and book your test, you will need to pass your theory test before you can book your practical test. Both can be booked via the gov.uk website, a theory test costs £23 and a practical test is £62.
You will need a provisional license before you begin driving lessons, which will need to be bought to your first lesson to show your instructor. It is best to allow three weeks for it to arrive and you will need it on you for your theory and provisional test. Your first provisional license will cost £34 if you do it online or £43 if applying by post. You’ll need an identity document unless you have a UK biometric passport, address for the last 3 years and your national insurance number. You must also be able to read a number plate from 20 metres away or you must wear glasses if you need them.
The regularity of your driving lessons really depends on your availability and the availability of your instructor, we recommend booking a block of lessons together to ensure you can have regular lessons set up with your instructor. Ideally, we would suggest having lessons on a weekly basis to allow you to progress well, but this is not essential. Alternatively, you can book an intensive course if you would like to pass in a quicker time frame, we provide these from £364 for 10 hours across 2 days. Beforehand, you will need to have a driving assessment to determine your ability and the right course for you.
Again, this depends on you and how regular your lessons are. We will get you to test level and then it is down to how confident you feel to take your test. The DVSA say the average is 45 hours of lessons and 22 hours of practise, but it can be less or more, everyone is different and learns in their own time. We aim to get you there as soon as we can in a safe and responsible way, working on any areas you have difficulty with.
