We never try to trap those wanting to train as a driving instructor with a hard sell, and all of the discussions that you have with us will be relaxed and informal; an opportunity for you to ask all the questions you need. You can even drop in on one of our lessons to see if it is the right fit for you! We want you to be as informed as possible before proceeding with our driving instructor training in Essex.

Your career after qualifying
Once you pass, you are welcome to stay with us and join the Nayland Driving School family. Or, if you prefer, you can go on to work elsewhere. If you do want to go it alone, we will do all that we can to help you to set up your own driving school business. We’ll guide you through the business side of things, providing expert advice that is tailored to your needs. We can also tell you where to buy a car that’s suitable for your new position, and talk you through the process of installing dual controls and additional mirrors.

We have over 10 years of experience when it comes to training people to become driving instructors, and during that time we’ve picked up some expertise that you won’t find in any book – such as putting together the perfect first driving lesson and dealing with nervous pupils. Learn when it suits you
We know that people taking our driving instructor training in Essex all have different circumstances. Our training is fully flexible, so you will be able to fit your sessions around work and family commitments with ease. We also have a number of payment plans available, allowing you to spread the cost of your training in a way that works for you. Our training course is made up of dedicated, one-on-one sessions in the car with an ORDIT registered trainer. You will enrich your learning by studying books and videos, as well as completing exercises.
