Making the right choice for your learning journey

Choosing a driving instructor shouldn’t be hard – which is where we come in. Through Nayland Driving School, you can access high quality driving lessons in your area – delivered by an instructor who is the perfect match for you.

Choosing your instructor

Wondering how to choose a good driving instructor? They’re vital to the success of a learner driver and finding one that is the perfect fit for you will help you to gain confidence and skill behind the wheel efficiently – bringing you closer to your licence at a much quicker pace. So, how do you go about choosing a driving instructor? Here is everything you need to know.

Experience

One of the most important things to consider when choosing a driving instructor is the amount of experience that they have. We have been in business for over a decade, and many of our instructors have joined our driving school with many more years of experience under their belts. They’ve seen first-hand how learning to drive has changed over the years and will be able to share practical advice that is grounded in the latest UK guidelines.

Female instructors

For some learner drivers, the gender of their instructor is very important. We recognise that – which is why we are pleased to offer driving lessons carried out by female instructors in many locations. We want every learner driver to feel safe and comfortable while they take their lessons and giving them this choice allows them to choose an instructor whom they will feel most at ease with. All of our instructors have completed all the necessary legal and safety checks necessary for them to provide lessons.

Manual or automatic?

When choosing a driving instructor, it is important to consider what kind of car you want to drive once you have your licence. Do you have your heart set on a manual car, or do you already prefer the ease and convenience of an automatic? Or would you like to have the option of choosing between either kind of vehicle in the future? Whatever you prefer, we’ll have you covered with both manual and automatic driving lessons – dependent on your location.

Areas we cover

Our network of experienced instructors carries out their work all over the UK. Whether you are based in Essex, Suffolk, Kent, or Manchester, we will be able to connect you with a driving instructor who matches your requirements. Suzanne Death

I started with Michael as my first Trainer. He consistently showed up on time and offered great training for my Part 2. Very observant at my abilities and knew what to work on and involved me in decisions. He was very patient with me despite some poor choices on my part, but this led to discussions on how to improve. Looking forward to work with Michael as a qualified ADI one day.
